Hope Outreach Ministries
United Church of Christ
2011 The Year of Celebration

Hope Outreach Ministries United Church of Christ (401 E. Indiana Ave on the corner of C st and Indiana Ave) started in May 2009 with only 12 members and in one year the Sunday Worship has an average of 80 people each week.

Hope’s Mission and Vision statments:

Mission: To serve the community and impact the lives of all people with life changing words and actions.  This will be accomplished through worship, prayer, discipleship, evangelism, and fellowship.  We are ordinary people serving an extraordinary God.

Vision:  To demonstrate the unconditional love of God.  To assist those lost, to discover the love and forgiveness of God.  To developing Christ-like disciples and building solid relationships while celebrating the love of God.

Hope is an inclusive church, which means that everyone is welcomed.  Hope is a very diverse multi- cultural, multi-racial and multi-generational community, which believes and lives the motto “that they just don’t talk about Jesus they do Jesus”, and it doesn’t matter your race, ethnic background, sexual orientation, age, financial status, or stage of addiction or recovery you are in, you are not judged but accepted and loved at Hope.  There membership is very diverse and that is what makes them unique.  They live and practice the message that Jesus quoted in Matthew 25:40, “Inasmuch as ye have done it unto the least of these my brethren, ye have done unto me”.

All are welcome to join us for Sunday Service and breakfast at 10am each Sunday.   Once you’ve checked us out you’ll be hooked.  Hope United Church of Christ makes you feel like family not just a guest.

Hope is affiliated with the Pennsylvania Southeast Conference of the United Church of Christ
